Vinay Tripathi joined Professor Lidar’s group in Fall 2019 as a Physics Ph.D. student at USC. Vinay has a bachelor’s degree in Physics from Hansraj College, University of Delhi and a master’s degree in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He also has a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from UC Riverside where he worked on cross-resonance gate (a two-qubit entangling gate) under the supervision of Professor Alexander Korotkov. His current research interests include decoherence in superconducting flux qubits, open quantum systems and its applications in quantum computation. .
