Chun-Tse Li

Chun-Tse joined Prof. Lidar’s group in Spring 2026 as a PhD student in the ECE Department at USC. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University (2023). From 2023 to 2024, he worked at the Foxconn Quantum Computing Research Center (PI: Min-Hsiu Hsieh) and Academia Sinica, Institute of Physics (PI: Hsin Lin), developing variational methods for the Fermi–Hubbard model and fault-tolerant quantum algorithms for solving low-energy eigenvalue problem. During his first year of the PhD, he collaborated with Prof. Liang Fu’s group at MIT Physics on variational Monte Carlo studies of chiral superconductivity. His current research interests include open quantum systems, quantum error correction, and quantum algorithms.
